This committee has always been responsible for community grants. Hedge End community groups can apply to it for grants.
As no committee of the Council was taking an interest in community events, this committee's brief has recently been extended to include this. This interest ranges from organising events, such as Christmas Lights switch on, to cooperate with others, such as in the Remembrance Sunday march and service, to helping others, such as Carnival and St George Fest Committees when asked.
Members of the public are encouraged to come along and take part.
