Happy New Year!

The festive season is now behind us and we're looking forward to 2010 after we have got over the current spell of wintry weather.

We continue to improve this website. You have probably noticed that some of our links don't work - we are doing our best to fix them.

We need your feedback to let us know how well we are doing. With your permission, we might even publish some of it here.

Eventually you should be able to find out information about any of the community facilities, events and organisations in our town.

You might want to take a look at another site targeted at Hedge End residents - www.hedgeendpeople.co.uk.

Community Events

Some of us think that the Town Council should take more of an interest in community events within Hedge End. In some cases this will involve no more than cooperation, as already happens with Hedge End Carnival. In other cases, such as the parade and service at the War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday, this will involve cooperating with other organisations, making sure that everybody is pulling in the same direction, iron out any problems, consult with our public, and instigate any desirable improvements.

Burns Supper in 2000 Centre

Cllr Jane Welsh, with lots of help from volunteers, recently organised a Scottish night in aid of The Mayor of Eastleigh's charities. The night raised in excess of £1500.
