 AS THE NEW MAYOR FOR THE BOROUGH OF EASTLEIGH

Mayor Cllr Derek Pretty and Mayoress Cllr Mrs Cythnia Garton On the 8th May, Cllr Derek Pretty was elected as the new
 Mayor for Eastleigh at the Annual Council Meeting - "Mayor
 Making" ceremony, held at the Civic Offices, Eastleigh.
 He will serve for the 2008/2009 Municipal year, along with
 his partner, Madam Mayoress, Cllr Mrs Cynthia Garton, both 
 current serving members of the Town Council.

 MAYOR'S APPEAL CHARITIES
 Every Mayor elected nominates charities, that they support
 throughout the year, by organinsing various fund raising events.
 During his Mayoral year Cllr Derek Pretty will be supporting,
 The Countess Mountbatten Hospice, West End and Vitalise,
 Waterside House, Netley Abbey.
